Renewing your membership

How to renew your Settle District u3a Membership

I hope that you have enjoyed your membership over the last year and are ready to renew your membership for the coming year; 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025.

How to renew

You don’t need to fill in another membership form this year. All you have to do is pay the appropriate fee for 2024-25 as set out below. You can renew your membership from any time now.

Membership fees for 2024/25:  Individual £15  or  Joint £29

Associate £11.50 (if you are a member of another u3a not in Westnet)

If you are able to, please pay by bank transfer (BACS). This really does help to reduce our admin time.

Our bank details are: Settle District U3A

Sort Code: 01 07 93

Account Number: 53206274

Please make sure you put in a clear reference so that we know who it is that is renewing! Put your surname, followed by the initial of your first name and then your membership number (found at the top of this email).

eg PARKER K 1081

If you have a joint membership and one of you has signed up for gift aid please make sure the person paying is the one registered with us for gift aid.

I will renew your membership and send you an email to confirm this once Barbara, the Treasurer, has given me a list of BACS payments which she will do each week.

Other ways to pay

Although we would prefer that you pay by bank transfer if you are not able to do this then you can still pay us by debit/credit card, cheque (payable to Settle District U3A) or cash in the following ways:

  • At the monthly meeting on Thursday 11 July – we will open the doors at 9.30 am that day to take renewals
  • We will also be at The Friends Meeting House on Tuesday 30 July from 10.00 to 12.00 noon
  • At the sign up day on Thursday 8 August – doors open at 9.30 for membership renewals and 10.00 for group sign ups
  • If paying by cash/cheque please send the completed form and payment to the Membership Secretary: c/o
The Place, 11 Commercial Courtyard, Duke Street, Settle BD24 9RH.

Gift Aid

Thank you to all those who have been able to allow us to claim gift aid previously, the income we get through the gift aid process goes a long way to helping us run our u3a.

If you have already signed up for gift aid there is no need for you to fill in a new form this year and please remember that if we are currently claiming gift aid for you as joint members the person who pays must be the one who has signed the latest gift aid form that we hold.

If you have any queries about renewal then please do email me.
