Dog Walking

Led by Mick Lowe

This group is temporarily suspended

Members will meet on 2nd and 4th Thursday mornings at 10am with or without dogs.

All walkers must be members of the u3a and should be aware that they walk at their own risk. All decisions regarding the viability of the walk rest with the leader.

It is required that each walker provides the leader with emergency contact details before commencing the walk.

A standard first aid kit will be carried by the leader.

Walkers must be suitably attired with weather appropriate clothing and proper walking boots. All walks will be at least 5 miles, there maybe stiles, hills and streams to negotiate on the walk. Dog owners must be able to manage their own dogs, keeping them under control whilst walking and negotiating these obstacles. All dogs attending must be sociable, non aggressive and well behaved.

In line with advice from received from Terry Dykes at National u3a March 2022, the risk assessments need only be stored for 1 year.
