Old Buildings Group visit to Kendal Town Hall

This imposing building, refurbished in 2021, became Kendal’s Town Hall in 1827 with the conversion of the existing ‘White Hall’ cloth market. Our visit will include an in-depth talk on the history of Kendal and access to the Mayor’s Parlour which houses some fine works of art including a prayer book belonging to Tudor Queen Catherine Parr.
