Birdwatching Group visit to Gait Barrows National Nature Reserve Silverdale

The incredible moonscape presented by the extensive limestone pavements in this very special reserve is amazing enough before you even get to the birdlife – which is equally fascinating. As well as all the usual wood and peatland species the site is also home to Bittern and Marsh Harrier. A special place indeed.
