Captain Cook & Whitby cancelled

June 24, 2020 @ 9:30 am - June 26, 2020 @ 5:30 pm

£60
Come and explore the history of Captain James Cook and Whitby,
in a 2-day event hosted by Whitby Whaler U3A. The event will take place
around midsummer, so you will be able to see the sun rise from and set in
the sea, and as well as learning all about Captain Cook you will be
able to explore the delights of Whitby, including the legendary fish ‘n’ chips!
Accommodation is not included, and must be booked by individual
delegates. A list of hotels and B & Bs in the most appropriate area of
Whitby will be provided, and for those not living near Whitby we
recommend at least a 2-night stay (Tuesday and Wednesday nights) – a
3rd night on Thursday would allow Friday for exploration of the many attractions
Whitby has to offer.
Any queries can be directed to Trevor Barrowcliffe on 01947 600963,
email twbarrowcliffe@yahoo.co.uk . This event is organised jointly by
the Trustees on the Yorkshire and The Humber Regional (YAHR) Committee, and
the Committee of Whitby Whaler U3A.
