Thanks to permissions received from The Wine, Dance Exercise, Ukulele, French, Line dancing and Great Lives groups we now have some lovely photos on the website . These photos are on the groups individual pages.
Our new Swimming group organised by Kath Mason will meet for the first time on Wednesday 5th February between 9.45am and 11.30am at Settle Pool. It will cost £3.80 per session which includes your U3A 50p. Coffee and biscuits will be available after your swim. If you haven’t already signed up, please let Kath know that you wish to participate.
We are setting up a new swimming group for the over 60’s.
It will be at Settle Pool, on a Wednesday morning between 9.45 and 11.30.
The first meeting will hopefully be in February.
Kath Mason has agreed to coordinate this group, please contact Kath to let her know you are going so she can gage numbers.
We are always looking for new group leaders so if you have an idea please speak to me about it. In particular, we are looking for new language group leaders, a ballroom dance leader and a painting tutor. If you can’t lead these groups yourself you may know somebody who hasn’t joined U3A yet, so spread the word.

The use of equipment, such as projectors, laptops etc., is now recorded on the timetable @ http://settledistrictu3a.org/timetable. If you need equipment for your group events, please check that it is not already booked out to another class.
I have created an email distribution list called email@example.com which I know some of you have been asking for. Members of this group will have an email in their in basket which they will have to action in order to receive mails through this route. Please look in your IONOS or personal mail and follow the instructions.
Anyone can mail to this address, and I can see which of the committee members have opted in.
If any group leaders need a similar facility, then I can set one up – just need the complete address list and your chosen name for the list.
I have added a print button to the top right of all pages to help with this activity.
There is nothing for group leaders to do here and it will be automagically added to all new and existing pages.
If you need to print, just click on the icon, and you will be presented with all of the elemnts in the page you are working with. Select the one you are interested in, and you will then find yourself using the native browser for the selected content type. ‘File > Print’ is where you go from here.
